No serial number is contained in the logs by default.
Global configuration mode
In addition to the timestamp, you can add serial numbers to the logs, numbering from 1. Then, it is
clearly known whether the logs are lost or not and their sequence.
The following example adds serial numbers to the logs.
Ruijie(config)# service sequence-numbers
Attaches timestamps to the logs.
8.38 service standard-syslog
Use this command to set the syslog format to the standard syslog format defined in RFC3164. Use
the no form of this command to restore the default setting.
no service standard-syslog
The syslog is displayed in the default format.
Global configuration mode
By default, the syslog is displayed in the format as follows:
*timestamp: %facility-severity-mnemonic: description
Here is an example:
*May 31 23:25:21: %SYS-5-CONFIG_I: Configured from console by console
