Command Reference MSTP Commands
The time when the topology changes.
The interface whose topology changes.
Old STP status on the interface.

Topology change may be caused by the
following causes:
Normal: UP/DOWN state change on the
interface,
LoopGuard Block: Loop-inconsistence causes
the interface to be blocked.
RootGuard Block: Root-inconsistence causes
the interface to be blocked.
Inferior Block: Receiving inferior BPDU frames
causes the interface to be blocked.
LoopGuard Unblock: The interface returns to
Forward status from loop-inconsistence.
RootGuard Unblock: The interface returns to
Forward status from root-inconsistence.
Inferior Unblock-The interface returns to
Forward status after not receiving inferior BPDU
frames.
Use this command to enable MSTP and configure its basic settings globally. The no form of the
command disables the spanning-tree function. The no form of the command with parameters only
restores the corresponding parameters to the default values, but does not disable the spanning-tree
function.
spanning-tree [ forward-time seconds | hello-time seconds | max-age seconds ]
no spanning-tree [ forward-time | hello-time | max-age ]
Interval at which the port status changes, in the range from 4 to 30 in
the unit of seconds. The default is 15.
