10.3 NMEA Module Mounting
The NMEA module, if supplied separately and not as part of a Data Acquisition Unit (DAU), is
designed to mount on a 35mm “Top Hat” style DIN Rail. The DIN Rail is mounted in a desired
location and the NMEA module is mounted on the rail using the clips on the back. The DIN Rail
is not supplied with the NMEA module.
Figure 10–2 - DIN Rail below shows the typical dimensions of the DIN Rail required for mounting
a NMEA module. It is acceptable to use a DIN Rail that is deeper than 7.5mm (15mm deep DIN
Rail is commonly available), as long as the 35mm width is maintained.
