12.5.2.9 Setting the Client PC IP Address
The IP address of the Client PC must be altered to match the IP of the FRM/SFRM (excluding the
last segment). The FRM/SFRM IP is provided in the vdrparams.ini file.
To change the Client PC’s IP address, open the ‘Control Panel’ > ‘Network and Dial-up
Connections’ > ‘Local Area Connection’ and click the ‘Properties’ button.
In the subsequent ‘Local Area Connection Properties’ window select ‘Internet Protocol
(TCP/IP) in the ‘Components checked are used by this connection:’ selection area and
click the ‘Properties’ button.
In the subsequent ‘Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties’ window, select the ‘Use the
following IP address’ radio button and enter the appropriate FRM/SFRM IP address in the
‘IP Address:’ field.
The last segment will have to be changed to a number between 3 and 255, but cannot
be the same number as the FRM/SFRM IP address (i.e., if the FRM/SFRM IP address is
192.168.0.2, the Client PC address may be entered as 192.168.0.3).
