8.4.4.5 Audio Capture
To begin capturing and reviewing audio data, complete the following steps:
1. Open the AudioConfigSuite;
2. Select Multiple Waveforms (if not already visible) from the View Menu as seen in Figure
8-23 - Using the audio analysis tool to select Multiple Waveforms;
3. Enable Audio Capture from the Audio pull down menu as shown in Figure 8-24 - Enable
Audio Capture..
4. Observe a histogram (oscilloscope) view of each active source.
8.4.4.6 Audio Recording and Analysis
Audio data can be recorded in the AudioConfigSuite application and played back independently
for each channel.
1. Ensure that Capture is NOT turned on;
2. Select Enable Recording Mode from the Audio pull down menu shown in Figure 8-24 –
Enable Audio Capture;
3. Set the recording time:
Select Settings from the Audio pull down menu, and
Under Capture Settings, change the Recording Time to the new recording time
in seconds.
NOTE: The default recording time is 60 seconds
4. Select Enable Capture from Audio menu;
Allow each channel to record data until it reaches the set recording time (e.g. 60
seconds of data);
5. Disable Audio capture when the required data is captured;
6. Click the desired Channel Tab to select the channel (selected channel tabs are blue);
7. Click the green Play button on the toolbar to begin channel playback;
8. A vertical line scrolls across the channel to indicate the playback position;
9. Click the red Stop button on the Toolbar to stop playback;
10. To play data on another channel, repeat steps 7 through 10 above.
