4.2.2 Straight-through Connection
A service PC can be connected to the Ethernet port on the side of the DPU to download stored
data or service the VDR.
4.2.3 Crossover Connection
1. The Audio Module output is connected directly to the PCC via a crossover Ethernet
cable, which is plugged into the Audio Port of the PCC.
2. The FRM is connected to the PCC via a crossover Ethernet cable, which is plugged into
The FRM Port of the PCC.
3. The Video Module output is connected to the PCC via a crossover Ethernet cable which
is plugged into the Video Port of the PCC.
4. The NMEA Module is connected to the PCC via a crossover Ethernet cable which is
plugged into the NMEA Port of the PCC.
4.3 Power Control Centre
The Power Control Centre (PCC) monitors the power system and communicates the power status
information to the DMM. It routes power to circuit breakers and terminal blocks for connection to
modules. The PCC contains power and data connections as well as associated circuit
breakers/fuses. (See diagram of Power Control Centre on the next page.)
