7.7.14.2 Changing hydraulic oil
Change the hydraulic oil at operating tempera-
ture.

Retract all hydraulic cylinders.
►
Switch off the diesel engine.
►
Unscrew the ventilation filter (311/1).
►
Place suitable oil drip pans below the en-
gine.
Burns due to hot fluids and sur-
faces
• Hot oil can cause burns if it
comes into contact with the skin
or eyes. Wear suitable protective
clothing and safety goggles
In an emergency: Administer first
aid, seek treatment from a doctor

Loosen the cap (310/1) on the drain valve
of the hydraulic tank and drain the oil into
clean containers.
Collect old oil with a suitable reser-
voir. Do not allow them to seep into
the ground or water! Give to an au-
thorized waste disposal company to
dispose of in an environmentally-
friendly manner.

Close the sealing cap on the drain valve
carefully.
Danger of injury due to falling
• Before topping up the hydraulic
oil, make sure that suitable
equipment for this purpose (e.g. a
pedestal) is at hand.
