3.2. Initial Impedance Settings
Notes
•The VX-200SZ Impedance Detection Module monitors speaker line impedance to detect shorts or open
circuits in the lines. An initial impedance value is used as a reference to detect speaker line irregularities.
•Speakerlineimpedancetendstochangeovertime,thusincreasinganyvariationfromtheinitialimpedance
value set at the time of installation, and possibly causing the VX-200SZ to detect a line failure even when the
speaker line is functioning correctly. Especially during the first several months after installation, it is highly
recommended that the reference impedance be monthly updated using the initial impedance setting procedure.
Since then, be sure to periodically update the reference impedance at the time of routine maintenance.
The initial impedance setting determines the VX-200SZ's initial impedance value.
The following methods can be used to set the initial impedance.
