(11) In st all the t orque converter access pla te. Refer
to (Refer to 21 - TRANSMISSION/TRANSAXLE/AU-
TOMATIC - NAG1 - INSTALLATION) for corr ect
sequence and torque specification.
(12) Install the tran sm ission cooler lines to tra ns-
mission . (Refer to 21 - TRANSMISSION/TRANS-
AXLE/AUTOMATIC - NAG1 - INSTALLATION) for
correct sequence and t orque specification.
(13) Connect t he engine valley drain hose to the
transmission (F ig. 5).
(14) Install t ransmission elect rica l conn ector and
sh ifter ha rdwar e. Refer t o (Refer to 21 - TRANSMIS-
SION/TRANSAXLE /AUTOMATIC - NAG1 - INSTAL-
LATION) for correct sequence and torque
specifica tion.
(15) Install the st eering gea r and t igh ten in two
st ages. 25 N·m (18.5 lbs. ft .), th en 45 N·m (33 lbs. ft.)
plus 90°.
(16) Install the star ter.
(17) Connect t he gr ound str ap (left side).
(18) Align and in st all t he exh aust and br acket
(Refer to 11 - EXHAUST SYSTE M/EXHAUST P IP E -
INSTALLATION).
(19) Lower th e veh icle.
(20) Install the lower heat er housing a nd filter.
(21) Install the air in let hose, CCV breather and
CCV heater a t the t urboch arger (Fig. 4).
(22) Connect t he coola nt supply and r etur n hoses.
(23) Connect th e br ake booster va cuum hose at the
vacu um pump.
(24) Connect the fu el lines a t th e filter assem bly
(Fig. 9).
(25) Connect t he power steerin g hoses.
(26) Install t he radiator /char ge air cooler and
hose(s) assemblies (Refer to 7 - COOLING/ENGINE /
RADIATOR - INSTALLATION).
(27) Install A/C condenser and fan assemblies Con-
nect th e fan ha rness conn ector.
(28) Connect t he refrigerant lin es.
(29) Install a a ir condition ing r eceiver/drier (Refer
to 24 - H EATING & AIR CONDITIONING/PLUMB-
ING/RE CEIVER / DRIER - INSTALLATION).
(30) Connect t he upper and lower r adiat or hoses.
(31) Connect the tr ansmission lines at the radia-
tor.
(32) Install a ir cleaner housing and connect t he air
inlet duct an d a ir flow sensor.
(33) Connect the charge air cooler h ose at inta ke
manifold. (Refer to 9 - ENGINE/AIR INTAKE SYS-
TEM/AIR CLEANER HOUSING - INSTALLATION).
(34) Route the engine wir ing har ness in side th e
vehicle and connect.
(35) Install the turbocharger heat shield.
(36) Install the front grille a nd fascia assembly.
(37) Connect t he negat ive batt ery cable.
(38) Check and fill engine oil (Refer t o LUBRICA-
TION & MAINTENANCE/FLUID TYPES - SPECIFI-
CATIONS).
