REMOVAL
NOTE: Capture any fluid spillage and store in an
appropriately marked and suitable containers.
(1) Disconn ect the n egat ive battery cable.
(2) Remove the heat shield (Fig. 6).
(3) Sepa rat e th e fr ont exhaust pipe from the tur-
bochar ger (Fig. 6)
(4) Sepa rat e the ch arge air and intake air hoses at
the t urboch arger (Fig. 6).
(5) Remove th e vacuum line from t he turbocharger
vacu um unit (Fig. 6).
(6) Sepa rat e th e oil supply at the cylinder hea d
and turbocha rger (Fig. 6).
(7) Sepa rat e t he oil return flow line at the tur bo-
charger (Fig. 6).
(8) Remove the tur bochar ger support br acket (Fig.
6).
(9) Remove tu rbocha rger from exhau st manifold
(Fig. 6).
