(6) In st all the core support bolts and reconn ect the
hood latch cable.
(7) In st all the right headlight a ssem bly.
(8) In st all the bolt for the tur bo shield at th e core
su pport.
(9) In st all the radiator clips.
(10) Install the ret urn lines t o the cooler tu be.
(11) In st all the left hea dlight assem bly.
(12) Install the grille assem bly (Refer to 23 -
BODY/EXTERIOR/GRILLE - INSTALLATION).
(13) Fill the power steerin g fluid (Refer to 19 -
STEERING/PUMP/FLUID - STANDARD P ROCE-
DURE ).
HOSES
REM OVAL
REMOVAL - PRESSURE HOSE
(1) Siphon as mu ch power st eering fluid as possi-
ble ou t of the reservoir.
(2) Disconn ect the pr essu re hose at the pu mp.
(3) Disconn ect the pressu re hose at the steering
gear.
(4) Remove the pressur e hose mounting br acket
from the gea r.
(5) Remove the pr essu re hose from the vehicle.
REMOVAL - RETURN LINE FROM PUMP TO
COOLER TUBE
(1) Siphon as mu ch power st eering fluid as possi-
ble ou t of the reservoir.
(2) Disconn ect the r etur n line at the pu mp.
(3) Remove the gr ille (Refer to 23 - BODY/EXTE-
RIOR/GRILLE - REMOVAL).
(4) Remove the left headlight a ssem bly.
(5) Disconn ect the r etur n line at the cooler tu be.
(6) Remove the retu rn line from the vehicle.
REMOVAL - RETURN HOSE FROM GEAR TO
COOLER TUBE
(1) Siphon as mu ch power st eering fluid as possi-
ble ou t of the reservoir.
(2) Disconn ect the r etur n hose from the gea r.
(3) Remove the gr ille (Refer to 23 - BODY/EXTE-
RIOR/GRILLE - REMOVAL).
(4) Remove the left headlight a ssem bly.
(5) Disconn ect the r etur n line at the cooler tu be.
(6) Remove the retu rn line from the vehicle.
INSTALLATION
INSTALLATION - PRESSURE HOSE
(1) In st all the pressure hose to the vehicle.
(2) Reconnect the pressure hose at th e steerin g
gear. Tight en to 37 N·m (27 ft.lbs.).
(3) In st all t he pressure h ose mou nting bracket to
the steering gear.
(4) Reconnect the pressure hose at the power
st eering pu mp. Tighten to 38 N·m (28 ft.lbs.).
(5) Fill the power st eering fluid (Refer t o 19 -
STEERING/PUMP/FLUID - STANDARD P ROCE-
DURE ).
INSTALLATION - RETURN LINE FROM PUMP
TO COOLER TUBE
(1) In st all the return line t o the vehicle.
(2) Reconnect t he return line at th e cooler tu be.
(3) In st all the left hea dlight assembly.
(4) In st all th e gr ille assembly (Refer to 23 - BODY/
EXTE RIOR/GRILLE - INSTALLATION).
(5) Reconnect t he return line at the power steering
pump.
(6) Fill the power st eering fluid (Refer t o 19 -
STEERING/PUMP/FLUID - STANDARD P ROCE-
DURE ).
INSTALLATION - RETURN HOSE FROM GEAR
TO COOLER TUBE
(1) In st all the return line t o the vehicle.
(2) Reconnect t he return line at th e cooler tu be.
(3) In st all the left hea dlight assembly.
(4) In st all th e gr ille assembly (Refer to 23 - BODY/
EXTE RIOR/GRILLE - INSTALLATION).
(5) Reconnect t he return line at the power steering
gear.
(6) Fill the power st eering fluid (Refer t o 19 -
STEERING/PUMP/FLUID - STANDARD
PROCE DURE ).
