2-1 Shift - First Gear Engaged
After the gear ch ange is complete, the 1-2/4-5 shift
solenoid (1) (F ig. 22) is t urned off. This redu ces th e
pr essu re on the end fa ce of the 1-2/4-5 com mand
valve (5) to 0 psi an d t he spring pr essu re downsh ifts
the va lve to its initia l position . The lin e pressu re
(p-A) is switched to th e holding clu tch B1 (7) and t he
