INPUT CLUTCHES
DESCRIPTION
Three multi-plate input clutches (1, 2, 5) (Fig. 79),
the fron t, m iddle a nd rear mult i-plate clu tches K1
(1), K2 (2), a nd K3 (5), are located in the plan etar y
gear set s in the t ran smission housing.
A m ult i-plat e in pu t clutch con sists of a num ber of
internally toothed discs (4) on a n inter nally toothed
disc carrier and extern ally toothed discs (3) on an
externa lly tooth ed disc car rier.
