Shift Valve Holding Pressure
The holding pressur e shift valve (1) (Fig. 116) is
actuated by th e pressur es pr esent at t he en d face in
the actuators a nd a spring. It a ssigns t he wor kin g
pr essu re (p-A) to the actua tor with the higher pres-
su re (taking into account th e sprin g force and t he
effective su rface area). The other element of the shift
group is t hen unpressurized. Th e valve switch es over
only du ring the shift ph ase and only a t a certa in
pr essu re ratio between the overla p pr essure (p-Ü)
and the shift pr essu re (p-S).
