(3) In st all bracket onto check an d install bra cket
bolt/n ut.
(4) Tighten br acket bolt/nut to 6 N·m (53 in. lbs.).
(5) In st all check bracket ont o a-pilla r.
(6) Apply Loct ite! 243 sealant check strap bolts
and install bolts.
(7) Tighten the M8 bolt s to 35 N·m (26 ft . lbs.) or
tighten the M6 bolt s t o 10 N·m (89 in. lbs.).
(8) In st all t rim pa nel. (Refer to 23 - BODY/DOOR -
FRONT/TRIM PANE L - INSTALLATION)
(9) Connect batt ery n egat ive cable.
DOOR
REMOVAL
(1) Disconn ect and isolate battery negative ca ble.
(2) Remove mir ror. (Refer to 23 - BODY/EXTERI-
OR/SIDE VIEW MIRROR - RE MOVAL)
(3) Position aside t he wir ing boot and disconnect
the electrical conn ectors. (Fig. 3)
(4) Remove the bolts and disconnect the door check
from the a-pillar. (Fig. 4)
(5) Su pport door with a suitable device.
(6) Loosen the hin ge set screws. (Fig. 5)
(7) Remove door by lifting off hinge pins.
INSTALLATION
(1) Slide door into hinges.
(2) In st all set screws.
(3) In st all check bracket ont o a-pilla r.
(4) Apply Loct ite! 243 sealant check strap bolts
and install bolts.
(5) Tighten the M8 bolt s to 35 N·m (26 ft . lbs.) or
tighten the M6 bolt s t o 10 N·m (89 in. lbs.).
(6) Connect all door elect rica l con nector s and posi-
tion boot ba ck.
