PROP ROD
REMOVAL
(1) Open and support h ood.
(2) Remove the pr op r od reta ining clip. (F ig. 1)
(3) Sepa rat e the pr op and spring from the hood.
(4) Remove n ut and position th e wa sh er bott le
aside. (F ig. 4)
(5) Remove stud nut a nd remove hood prop. (F ig.
5)
INSTALLATION
(1) In st all hood prop and install the st ud nut.
(2) Position wa sh er bott le back an d install the nut
and washer.
(3) Connect sprin g a nd prop onto hood an d install
the retaining spring.
SAFET Y LAT CH
REMOVAL
(1) Open hood.
(2) Usin g a grease pencil or equivalent, ma rk th e
position of the sa fety latch to aid installa tion .
(3) Remove the bolts and rem ove the latch. (Fig.
6)
