DESCRIPTION
An autom atic tem per atu re con trol (ATC) sin gle
zone type hea tin g-A/C system is standard equipment
on this model.
To ma inta in the per formance level of the hea ting,
vent ila tion and air con ditionin g (HVAC) system, the
engine cooling system must be properly ma int ained.
The use of a bug screen is not recom mended. Any
obstructions in fr ont of the radiator or A/C condenser
will redu ce the per formance of th e A/C an d en gin e
coolin g systems.
The engine cooling system includes the radiat or,
ther mostat , ra diator hoses an d the engine coola nt
pu mp. Refer to 7 - Coolin g for more infor mation
before openin g or attempting a ny ser vice to t he
engine coolin g system.
All veh icles are equipped with a comm on ven tila-
tion housing (Fig. 1) loca ted in th e engine com pa rt-
ment wh ich in cludes:
• Blower mot or
• Blower mot or resistor block
• Recircu lation door and actuat or
All vehicles ar e also equipped with a common
heat er hou sing (Fig. 2) moun ted under the instru-
ment panel wh ich in cludes:
• Heater cor e
• Evapor ator core
• Evapor ator tempera ture sensor
• Expan sion valve
