Voltage Possible Cause
0.0 1. No transducer supply voltage from ATC control module.
2. Shorted transducer circuit.
3. Faulty transducer.
0.150 to 0.450 1. Ambient temperature below 10° C (50° F).
2. Low refrigerant system pressure.
0.451 to 4.519 1. Normal refrigerant system pressure.
4.520 to 4.850 1. High refrigerant system pressure.
5.0 1. Open transducer circuit.
2. Faulty transducer.
REMOVAL
WARNING: Refer to the applicable warnings and
cautions for this system before performing the fol-
lowing operation (Refer to 24 - HEATING & AIR
CONDITIONING/PLUMBING - WARNINGS) and (Refer
to 24 - HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING/PLUMBING -
CAUTIONS). Failure to follow the warnings and cau-
tions could result in possible personal injury or
death.
(1) Recover th e refriger ant from th e refriger ant
system (Refer t o 24 - HEATING & AIR CONDITION-
ING/PLUMBING - STANDARD P ROCEDURE).
(2) Disconn ect and isolate the battery nega tive
cable.
(3) Disconn ect the wire ha rness connector from th e
A/C pressure tra nsducer (Fig. 10).
(4) Usin g an open en d wrench , rem ove the A/C
pr essu re tra nsdu cer fr om th e fitting on the liquid
line .
(5) Remove the O-rin g seal from the A/C pr essure
transdu cer and disca rd.
INSTALLATION
(1) Lubricate a n ew O-ring sea l wit h clea n refr ig-
eran t oil a nd install it on t he A/C pressu re tr ans-
du cer.
(2) Usin g an open end wren ch, install a nd tight en
the A/C pr essu re tran sdu cer into th e fitting on the
liquid line. Tighten t he tra nsducer to 12 N·m (106 in.
lbs.).
(3) Reconnect the wir e ha rness connector to th e
transdu cer.
(4) Reconnect t he battery negative cable.
(5) Eva cuate the refrigera nt system (Refer to 24 -
HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING/PLUMBING -
STANDARD PROCE DURE ).
