NOTE: Position and retain the heater fuel line to
prevent fuel leakage while servicing the dosing
pump.
NOTE: Utilize an approved fuel storage container to
catch any residual fuel.
(3) Disconn ect the wiring har ness connector to the
fuel pu mp by depressin g the integra l sprin g and pu ll-
ing the connector awa y from t he pump.
(4) Remove the dosing pump from the ru bber iso-
lat or.
INSTALLATION
(1) In st all th e dosing pum p ont o the rubber isola-
tor.
(2) Connect the fuel lines to the dosin g pu mp and
the ca bin heater unit.
NOTE: The connectors should point towards the
cabin heater fuel line.
(3) Use a viation style clamps to att ach t he hose to
the fu el pump nipples (Refer to 24 - HEATING &
AIR CONDITIONING/CABIN HEATER/F UEL LINE
- INSTALLATION).
(4) Connect the wir e har ness connect or to t he fuel
pump by depressing th e int egra l spring an d push ing
the connector towards the dosing pum p. Pull the con -
nector t owards th e cabin hea ter to ver ify the insta l-
lat ion.
(5) Verify fu nction of the supplemen tal cabin
heater.

STAN DARD PROCEDU RE
CLEANING
(1) Remove the cabin h eater fu el line (Refer to 24 -
HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING/CABIN HEAT-
ER/FUEL LINE - REMOVAL).
(2) With t he cabin heater fuel lin e removed from
the veh icle, place a shop cloth on the fuel tank end of
the fuel line to ca tch any residue, then apply a small
amount of air pressure t o t he ot her end of the fuel
line .
(3) Check to see if air pressu re is com ing from t he
tank end of the line. If pr essu re is flowing unre-
st ricted t he line is clea n.
(4) If th e fu el line sh ows an y sign s of being
restricted after air pressure is a pplied, t he fuel line
sh ould be repla ced.
