INSTALLATION - SINGLE REAR WHEEL
(1) In st all sealing ring.
(2) In st all a xle shaft (1) in the axle tube (2) (Fig.
7).
(3) In st all new bearing cap (2) bolts (1) an d
tighten to 72 N·m (53 ft. lbs.) (Fig. 8).
NOTE: Tighten bolts diagonally across.
(4) In st all bra ke control cable lock.
(5) In st all parkin g brake sh oes.
(6) In st all bra ke disk and ca liper s.
(7) Coat cla mping bush wit h acid-free grea se.
In sert ABS sensor with clamping bush fully into the
mounting hole.
(8) In st all front brake cable.
(9) Operat e brake pedal severa l tim es until br ake
pa ds con tact brake discs (brake pressu re built up).
(10) Install wh eels.
BEARI N G / SEAL - AX LE
REMOVAL
(1) Remove rea r axle shaft .
(2) With a pu nch (2) and ha mmer straighten bear-
ing (4) nut (1) lockin g ring (3) (Fig. 9).
(3) In st all two wheel moun ting bolt s into the a xle
sh aft (1) and clamp in vise. Loosen bear ing (4) nut
(2) wit h Wren ch 9279 (3) (F ig. 10).
