(7) Pry out ABS sensor r ing (1) a nd seal (2) from
hub (F ig. 23).
(8) Remove hub bearings (1) (3) from hub (2) (Fig.
24).
(9) Remove in ner a nd outer bearing cups from hub
with a h ammer and drift.
INSTALLATION
(1) In st all hu b bearing cups with Insta ller 9291
and a hammer.
(2) Clean and thor oughly grease bearings with
Mult i-purpose grea se.
(3) In st all inner wheel bea ring.
(4) Coat ou ter circum ference of new seal (2) with
Hylomar SQ 32 M sealant .
CAUTION: Do not coat seals rubberized sealing sur-
faces with sealant.
(5) In st all seal (2) into h ub with an appropriate
ins talle r.
NOTE: Seal ring should be flush with wheel hub or
max. 3mm (0.12 in.) deep.
(6) Coat contact su rface of ABS sen sor ring (1)
with H ylomar SQ 32 M sea lan t (Fig. 25).
(7) Drive ABS sensor rin g (1) in a s far as the stop
with a plastic hammer (Fig. 25).
(8) In st all hub on axle tu be.
