INSTRUMENT PANEL
AN T EN N A CABLE
REMOVAL
(1) Disconn ect and isolate the battery nega tive
cable.
(2) Remove the A-pillar trim (Refer to 23 - BODY/
INTERIOR/A-PILLAR TRIM - REMOVAL).
(3) Remove the portion of the headliner over the
front seat passen gers (Refer to 23 - BODY/INTERI-
OR/HEADLINER - REMOVAL).
(4) Disconn ect t he anten na and electr ical con nec-
tions n ear the windshield.
(5) Remove the glove box (Refer to 23 - BODY/IN-
STRUME NT PANE L/GLOVE BOX - RE MOVAL).
(6) Remove the radio (Refer to 8 - ELE CTRICAL/
AUDIO/RADIO - REMOVAL).
(7) Cut both ends of existing ca ble close to t he
instr umen t pa nel (F ig. 2).
INSTALLATION
(1) In sert new cable through glove box open ing to
the r adio opening in the in strument panel.
(2) Route ca ble up th e A-pillar and connect to th e
anten na body a nd cable.
(3) Connect th e antenna and electr ical connect ions
near the windshield.
(4) Attach antenn a ca ble to instr umen t panel wir e
harness.
(5) In st all glove box (Refer to 23 - BODY/INSTRU-
MENT PANEL/GLOVE BOX - INSTALLATION).
(6) In st all t he headliner (Refer to 23 - BODY/IN-
TERIOR/H EADLINER - INSTALLATION).
(7) In st all th e A-pilla r trim (Refer to 23 - BODY/
INTERIOR/A-PILLAR TRIM - INSTALLATION).
(8) In st all th e radio (Refer to 8 - ELECTRICAL/
AUDIO/RADIO - INSTALLATION).
(9) Connect the batt ery n egat ive cable.
RADI O
REMOVAL
(1) Disconn ect and isolate the battery nega tive
cable.
(2) Usin g special tool 9241 or equivalent , insert
one in to each slot on th e face of th e radio (Fig. 3).
(3) Disconn ect wir e h arness connector and an tenn a
from radio.
INSTALLATION
(1) Connect wire harness conn ector and antenna to
radio.
(2) Position ra dio to in strument panel and push
into place.
(3) Connect batt ery n egat ive cable.

REMOVAL
(1) Disconn ect and isolate the batt ery cable.
(2) Remove the A-pillar trim (Refer to 23 - BODY/
INTERIOR/A-PILLAR TRIM - REMOVAL).
(3) Remove speaker gr ill (Fig. 4).
