5.4.2 Using the safety belt
j WARNING
Occupants are thrown from the
machine in an accident and col-
lide with the cab equipment
Only start and operate the load-
ing machine with the safety belt
buckled.
Regularly check the condition,
operation and attachment of the
belt. Do not operate the loading
machine if it is damaged.
In an emergency: Administer first
aid, seek treatment from a doctor
Buckling
Pull out safety belt (101/1) and latch it in
the lock without twisting it (101/3).
Check that it functions correctly.
Unbuckling
Disengage belt lock (101/2) and guide belt
back.
5.4.3 Adjusting the steering column
j WARNING
Serious injury from uncontrolled
steering movements
Only adjust steering column when
the loading machine is stationery.
In an emergency: Administer first
aid, seek treatment from a doctor
Adjust height
Hold the steering wheel firmly.
Unscrew locking device (102/7) and raise
the steering wheel up to the desired height.
Tighten down lock (102/7).
Adjusting the inclination
Hold the steering wheel firmly.
Depress the pedal (102/8) with your foot
and adjust the inclination angle as desired.
Release pedal (102/8) and then release
steering wheel. The steering column must
latch into position.
