block do so th rough the instr umen t panel wire h ar-
ness. Interna l connection of all of th e fuse block cir-
cuits is accomplished by a n intr icate combina tion of
hard wiring an d bus ba rs. Internal relays an d micr o
pr ocessor s allow t he vehicle electronics to contr ol
som e of th e power distr ibut ion circuits throughout
the vehicle. Refer to the Wiring section for complete
circuit diagrams.

FU SE BLOCK # 2
DESCRIPTION
An electrical fuse block is concealed u nder the
dr iver side front seat. Th e fuse block serves to dis-
tribute electrical current to man y of the electr ical
systems in th e vehicle. The fuse block houses bla de-
type min i fu ses, bla de-type aut omatic r esetting cir-
cuit breakers and In ternation al Standar ds
Orga nization relays. Addition al provisions are a vail-
able in t he fuse block for addit iona l fuses a nd ISO
relays.
The molded plastic fuse block housin g has an inte-
gra l mountin g bra cket t hat is secured with screws to
the seat base. The driver side seat base also has a
sn ap-fit fuse access panel th at ca n be rem oved for
service of th e fuses and the relays. A finger r ecess is
molded int o one end for easy removal. A fu se l a yout
map is molded ont o the back side of the pan el to
ensure pr oper fuse iden tification.
The fuse block is integra l t o t he body wire harness.
If any internal circuit or the fu se block housin g is
faulty or dama ged, t he en tire fuse block a nd body
wire har ness unit must be repla ced.
OPERATION
All of the circuits enterin g and leaving th e fu se
block do so through t he body wire ha rness. Inter nal
connect ion of all of t he fuse block circu its is accom-
plished by an intrica te combination of hard wiring
and bus bars.
POWER DI ST RI BU T I ON CEN -
TER
DESCRIPTION
All of th e electrical curr ent dist ribu ted th roughout
this vehicle is directed th rough the Power Distribu-
tion Cen ter (PDC). The m olded plastic PDC hou sing
is located in the left front corner of t he engine com-
pa rtmen t, on the batt ery positive cable. Th e PDC
housin g has a molded plastic cover t hat slides over
the PDC housing. The PDC cover is ea sily opened or
removed for service a ccess.
The PDC unit can not be repair ed and is only ser-
viced as a unit with th e hea dlamp an d da sh wire
harness. If t he in tern al circuits or the P DC hou sing
are fa ulty or damaged, the h eadla mp a nd dash wire
harness unit must be repla ced.
OPERATION
All of the cu rrent from the ba ttery a nd th e gener-
ator output ent ers the PDC throu gh the positive bat-
tery cable. The PDC cover is removed to access th e
batt ery and gen erat or outpu t connection B(+) ter mi-
nal studs. Inter nal conn ection of all of the P DC cir-
cuits is accomplished by a n intr icate combina tion of
hard wirin g and bus bars. Refer to Wiring Diagram s
for the location of complete PDC circu it diagram s.
