(3) In st all t he universa l joint to t he steerin g gea r
(Fig. 2). Tighten to 24 N·m (18 ft. lbs.).
(4) In st all bot h the power steerin g hoses t o the
st eering gear (F ig. 2). Tigh ten th e high pressur e hose
to 37 N·m (27 ft. lbs.).
(5) In st all the spr ing clamp pla tes (Refer to 2 -
SUSPENSION/FRONT/SPRING CLAMP PLATES -
INSTALLATION).
(6) In st all th e left ou ter tie rod en d to th e steering
gear.
(7) In st all both th e outer tie rod ends to the st eer-
ing knuckle (Fig. 2). Tighten to 130 N·m (96 ft. lbs.).
(8) In st all the upper stabilizer ba r link to th e sta-
bilizer ba r.
(9) In st all the front wh eels.
(10) Fill and bleed the power steer ing system
(Refer t o 19 - STEERING/P UMP /FLUID - ST AN-
DARD PROCEDURE).
(11) Reset toe a djust ment.
(12) Check st eering system for leaks.
