(5) Disconn ect the park lock cable coupling (1)
(Fig. 205) from the shift lever assembly (SLA). P ress
locking ta b (2) toget her a nd push coupling (1) against
the spring force into th e SLA, twist th rough 90°
(right or left ) and pull off.
(6) Remove the lower steering column shr oud.
(7) Loosen the par k lock cable (2) (F ig. 206) from
the ign ition switch .
(8) Remove th e park lock ca ble (2) (Fig. 207) fr om
the ign ition switch .
(9) Remove the pa rk lock cable from the vehicle.
INSTALLATION
(1) Route the par k lock cable through t he instr u-
ment pan el bet ween the steerin g column and th e
sh ift lever assembly (SLA).
(2) In st all the park lock cable (2) (Fig. 208) to t he
ign ition switch .
(3) Tighten t he park lock cable (2) (Fig. 209) to th e
ign ition switch .
(4) In st all the lower steerin g colu mn shrou d.
