MODULATING PRESSURE CONTROL SOLENOID
VALVE
The modulating pr essu re cont rol solenoid valve (1)
(Fig. 230) is located in th e shell of t he electric valve
control un it an d pressed against the shift plate by a
sprin g.
It s purpose is control the modulating pressure
depending on th e con tinuously ch anging oper ating
conditions, such as load a nd gea r change.
The m odu lating pressure regula ting solenoid valve
(1) has an interference fit and is sealed off to the
valve body of the shift plate (4) by a sea l (arr ow). The
contact spr ings (2) at the solenoid valve enga ge in a
slot in the conductor t racks (3). The force of th e con-
tact springs (2) ensures secure conta cts.
TORQUE CONVERTER LOCKUP CLUTCH PWM
SOLENOID VALVE
The tor que converter lockup clu tch PWM solenoid
valve (1) (Fig. 231) is located in t he shell of t he elec-
tric valve control unit and pr essed against t he shift
plat e by a spr in g.
The PWM solenoid valve (1) for the torque con-
vert er locku p controls the pressu re for the t orque
conver ter lockup clutch .
The tor que converter lockup PWM solenoid valve
(1) is sealed off to t he valve body of the sh ift plate (4)
by an O-rin g (5) and a seal (ar row). The conta ct
springs (2) at t he solenoid valve enga ge in a slot in
the conductor tracks (3). Th e force of the contact
springs (2) ensures secure conta cts.
