IMPELLER
The im peller (3) (Fig. 243) is an int egra l part of
the convert er housing. Th e impeller consists of
curved blades pla ced radially along th e inside of the
housin g on the transm ission side of the con vert er. As
the converter hou sing is rot ated by the en gine, so is
the impeller, becau se they are one and th e same a nd
are the dr iving m ember s of the system.
