OPERATION
The rear condenser fan suppression filter provides
pr otection against tr ansient interference signa ls or
similar interference to the elect ronic rear condenser
fan circu its which ca n effect the performan ce of the
rear A/C control module circuits an d radio recept ion
quality. Th e suppression filter for th e rear condenser
fan consist of ca pa citor s a nd inductance coils.
The rear con denser fa n suppression filt er can not be
repaired a nd, if faulty or dam aged, it must be
repla ced. Refer t o the appropriate wirin g information
for complete HVAC wiring diagrams.
REMOVAL
(1) Disconn ect and isolate the negat ive ba tter y
cable.
(2) Remove the cover from the r ear A/C condenser
housin g (Refer to 24 - H EATING & AIR CONDI-
TIONING/DISTRIBUTION - REAR/A/C CON-
DENSER COVE R-REAR - RE MOVAL).
(3) Disconn ect the two wire harness connectors
from the rear condenser fan suppression filt er (F ig.
24).
(4) Remove the rea r con denser fan (Refer to 24 -
HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING/PLUMBING/
REAR A/C CONDENSE R FAN - REMOVAL).
(5) Remove the t wo bolts, wa shers and nut s that
secure t he rea r con denser fan suppression filter to
the rea r A/C condenser housing an d rem ove t he su p-
pr ession filter.
INSTALLATION
(1) Position the rea r con denser fan suppression fil-
ter to the r ear A/C con denser housing.
(2) In st all th e two bolts, wa sh ers a nd nuts t hat
secure t he rea r con denser fan suppression filter to
the r ear A/C conden ser h ousing. Tighten the bolt s t o
5 N·m (44 in. lbs.).
(3) In st all th e rear conden ser fan (Refer to 24 -
HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING/PLUMBING/
REAR A/C CONDENSE R FAN - INSTALLATION).
(4) Connect th e wiring harness con nectors to the
rear condenser fan su ppression filter and the rea r
condenser fan.
(5) In st all t he cover onto the rea r A/C conden ser
housin g (Refer to 24 - H EATING & AIR CONDI-
TIONING/DISTRIBUTION - REAR/A/C CON-
DENSER COVE R - INSTALLATION).
(6) Reconnect t he negat ive batt ery cable.
