(9) Connect the rear A/C dischar ge line to the
underbody discha rge lin e. Tight en the nut to 35 N·m
(26 ft. lbs.).
(10) Lower th e veh icle.
(11) Eva cuate the rear refr igerant system (Refer to
24 - HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING/P LUMBING
- STANDARD PROCEDURE - REFRIGERANT SYS-
TEM EVACUATE).
(12) Charge th e rear refr iger ant syst em (Refer to
24 - HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING/P LUMBING
- STANDARD PROCEDURE - REFRIGERANT SYS-
TEM CH ARGE).
(13) Install the cover onto the rea r A/C evaporator
housin g (Refer to 24 - H EATING & AIR CONDI-
TIONING/DISTRIBUTION - REAR/A/C EVAPORA-
TOR COVE R-REAR - INSTALLATION).
SUCTION LINE - FRONT SECTION
(1) If th e compressor section of th e u nderbody su c-
tion line wa s removed from th e A/C com pr essor,
remove plugs or tape from th e suction lin e fitting,
lubr icat e a new ru bber O-rin g seal with clean refr ig-
eran t oil, insta ll it onto t he suct ion lin e fitting an d
insta ll the bolt that secures the suction line to the
compressor. Tighten t he bolt to 21 N·m (15 ft. lbs.).
(2) Position t he fr ont sect ion of the under body suc-
tion line to the veh icle.
(3) In st all the br ackets and screws t hat secu re the
front section of the un derbody suct ion lin e t o the
underneath of the vehicle. Tighten the screws t o 8
N·m (70 in. lbs.).
(4) Remove the plugs or tape from th e su ction line
fittings.
(5) Lubricate new rubber O-r ing seals wit h clea n
refriger ant oil and install them onto t he suct ion line
fittings.
(6) Connect the front section of th e under body suc-
tion line to the compressor section of t he su ction line.
Tighten t he nu t to 35 N·m (26 ft . lbs.).
(7) Connect the front section of th e under body suc-
tion line to th e rear section of the suct ion lin e and
insta ll the ret aining bolt . Tight en t he bolt to 25 N·m
(18 ft. lbs.).
(8) Lower th e vehicle.
(9) Eva cuate th e rear refr iger ant system (Refer to
24 - HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING/P LUMBING
- STANDARD PROCEDURE - REFRIGERANT SYS-
TEM EVACUATE).
(10) Charge th e rear refr iger ant syst em (Refer to
24 - HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING/P LUMBING
- STANDARD PROCEDURE - REFRIGERANT SYS-
TEM CH ARGE).
(11) In st all t he cover onto the r ear A/C evaporator
housin g (Refer to 24 - H EATING & AIR CONDI-
TIONING/DISTRIBUTION - REAR/A/C EVAPORA-
TOR COVE R-REAR - INSTALLATION).
SUCTION LINE - REAR SECTION
(1) Position the rear section of the u nderbody suc-
tion line to the veh icle.
(2) In st all the br ackets and screws t hat secu re the
rear section of the underbody su ction line to the
underneath of the vehicle. Tighten the screws t o 8
N·m (70 in. lbs.).
(3) Remove the plugs or tape from th e su ction line
fittings.
(4) Lubricate new rubber O-r ing seals wit h clea n
refriger ant oil and install them onto t he suct ion line
fittings.
(5) Connect the rear section of the u nderbody suc-
tion lin e t o t he front section of t he suction lin e a nd
insta ll the ret aining bolt . Tight en t he bolt to 25 N·m
(18 ft. lbs.).
(6) Connect the rear section of the u nderbody suc-
tion line to the r ear A/C suct ion line. Tigh ten the nut
to 35 N·m (26 ft. lbs.).
(7) Lower th e vehicle.
(8) Eva cuate th e rear refr iger ant system (Refer to
24 - HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING/P LUMBING
- STANDARD PROCEDURE - REFRIGERANT SYS-
TEM EVACUATE).
(9) Char ge the r ear refr igerant syst em (Refer to 24
- HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING/P LUMBING -
STANDARD PROCEDURE - REFRIGE RANT SYS-
TEM CH ARGE).
(10) Install the cover onto the rea r A/C evaporator
housin g (Refer to 24 - H EATING & AIR CONDI-
TIONING/DISTRIBUTION - REAR/A/C EVAPORA-
TOR COVE R-REAR - INSTALLATION).
