NOTE: Inspect condition of all clamps and hoses,
replace as necessary.
(1) Disconn ect the n egat ive battery cable.
(2) Drain cooling syst em (Refer to7-COOLING/
ENGINE/COOLANT - STANDARD PROCEDURE).
(3) Remove viscous fan clutch.
(4) Detach fuel lines from the br ackets at the
wa t er pu m p .
(5) Detach the coolant hoses at the wa ter pum p
(Fig. 13).
