(6) Press off ca p at belt guide pulleys.
(7) Remove belt guide pulleys.
(8) Remove wat er pum p reta ining bolt s a nd
remove water pump.
INSTALLATION
NOTE: Clean all mating surfaces.
(1) Fit existin g accessor y drive belt pu lley onto the
wa t er pu m p .
(2) Properly position water pump with new ga sket
to the engine a nd tight en bolt s t o 14 N·m (124 lbs.
in)., M8 (20 N·m (177 lbs. in.) (Fig. 13).
NOTE: Be sure to install the washer behind the
guide pulley to assure proper alignment.
(3) In st all belt g u ide pulleys. Tigh ten bolts t o 35
N·m (26 lbs. ft.) (Fig. 13).
(4) Attach the coolan t hoses to th e wat er pump
and tight en clam ps (F ig. 13).
(5) Attach fuel lines t o t he brackets at th e wa ter
pump.
(6) In st all accessory drive belt.
(7) In st all viscou s fan clutch.
(8) Close radiat or and or engin e drain plug.
(9) Refill cooling system to proper level (Refer t o 7
- COOLING/E NGINE/COOLANT - STANDARD PRO-
CEDURE). Check for leaks.
