DESCRIPTION
The available heated ou tside rea r view mirror sys-
tem is operationa l a nytime t he ignit ion switch is in
the Run position (Fig. 1). When ener gized, each of
these h eater grids pr oduce heat to help clear the out-
side mirror s of ice, snow, or fog.
OPERATION
The electric hea ter grid located behin d t he glass of
each of the outside rear view mirr ors is ener gized
when the ignition switch is turned to the Ru n posi-
tion. The heat er grids h eat the glass sur face of t he
outside rear view m irrors.
If the outside mirror heating grids a re inoper ative,
refer to 8W - WIRING DIAGRAM INFORMATION.
The hea tin g grid beh ind each outside mirror glass
cannot be repaired and, if faulty or da maged, the
mirror glass mu st be r eplaced (Refer to 23 - BODY/
EXTE RIOR/MIRROR-SIDE VIEW - GLASS -
REMOVAL).
