(3) Pull the repea ter lamp len s and housing out -
ward t o disengage the unit from the mounting hole.
(4) Disconn ect the vehicle wire harness connect or
from the con nector recept acle on the back of the
repeater lamp unit.
(5) Remove the repea ter lamp un it from t he vehi-
cle.
INSTALLATION
SMALL
(1) Position the repeater la mp u nit to the mount -
ing hole on the fender pan el (Fig. 45).
(2) Reconnect t he vehicle wire harn ess conn ector
to the conn ector receptacle of the bulb holder on the
back of the r epeater lam p u nit.
(3) Engage the fron t edge of the repeater lamp
unit int o the front edge of th e mountin g hole.
(4) Usin g ha nd pressur e, press the rear edge of the
repeat er lam p lens/h ousing towa rd the front of the
vehicle against the spring pr essu re of the r etaining
clip, t hen push the r ear edge of the lamp in to the
rear of the m ounting hole.
(5) Reconnect t he battery negative cable.
LARGE
(1) Position t he r epeater lamp u nit near the
mounting hole on the fender pan el (Fig. 46).
(2) Reconnect t he vehicle wire harn ess conn ector
to the connector receptacle on th e back of the
repeater lamp unit.
(3) Position t he repeater lam p lens and h ousing to
the m ounting hole as a unit.
(4) In st all and tigh ten the screw that secur es th e
lens a nd the repeater la mp housing to t he fender
panel.
(5) Reconnect t he battery negative cable.
TAIL L AMP UNIT
REMOVAL
(1) Disconn ect and isolate the battery nega tive
cable.
(2) If the vehicle is so equipped, remove th e trim
from the inside of th e right or left rear corner pillar.
(3) From in side the vehicle, use han d pressure to
pu sh the two lat ch ta bs towa rd th e center of the tail
lam p unit socket plate an d pull the socket pla te
st raight ou t from the inner rear pilla r (Fig. 47).
(4) Pull the socket plat e a way fr om the in ner rear
pillar far enough to access the tail lamp u nit mount -
ing nut s (Fig. 48).
