IGMP QUERY USAGE

Regarding PGM161 (Flex 24-12 to 15) are
used when there are some problems in
multicast packet forwarding like
registering devices or multicast MOH.
Some multicast snoop-enabled switch
devices do not forward multicast packets
if there is no IGMP query device in the
network.
This entity enables the IGMPquery option,
and MPB sends an IGMP query message
periodic to avoid multicast-related
problems.

This timer defines the interval time of
each IGMP query message. With some
special switches, this timer value should
be modified.

This entity defines which destination
address is used when the IGMP query is
sent to. IfON is selected, the query
message is sent to ALL HOST group by
using address 224.0.0.1. AndOFF is

specific address by using address
239.20.19.50. This should be ON when
there is a MOH problem.
