9. Remove the four screws securing the operator panel assembly (B) to the scanner unit assembly.
Warning: Do not drop the operator panel assembly (B), or damage will occur.
10. Guide the operator panel cable and the USB-Smart card-LED cable assembly through the rear of the
printer so that they can be pulled through from the front.
Note: First pull the operator panel cable out from the harness guide (C), and then remove the remaining three
cables.
11. Remove the operator panel assembly (B).
Reinstallation procedure for the operator panel assembly (B):
1. Guide the operator panel cable through the harness guide (C) so that it can be pulled through the
rear of the printer, and then guide the three remaining cables.
2. Reroute the cables, and ensure that they are reinserted into their appropriate clamps.
3. Ensure that all connections are properly reconnected.
