The Video Interface board installed inside the Priport, which receives output data from the Controller, also
receives status reports from the Priport itself. The DigiPrint Monitor polls the Video Interface board for
status and receives back a status code. Each different status code reports a different condition of the Priport.
Ready
means that the Priport is ready to accept a print job.
Master Making
means that the Priport is
currently making a master.
Printing
means that the Priport is currently printing from the master on the drum.
All of the potential error codes are also reported to the DigiPrint Monitor. Some of the common error codes
are:
Master Out, Paper Out, Ink out, Paper Jam - feed in, Paper Jam - feed out, Cover open, Master
Jam,
and
Used Master Box Full
. All error conditions are prioritized by the DigiPrint Monitor program.
When all error conditions are cleared and the print job resumes, the Monitor will report the current status.
Appendix B lists all the possible status codes that the DigiPrint Monitor will report.
