B. Engine Harness Routing Overview
The primary attachment point of the engine harness is on the cylinder head. The wiring harness is
attached with a rubberized metal clamp on the drive belt side and cylinder head. The wiring harness is
installed on the engine with additional rubberized metal clamps and cable ties.
After the primary attachment point, the harness divides into following branches:
 A branch that:
- is bent by approx. 90°
- is routed in the direction of turbocharger
- connects the BPA, RPS, and CAS2 (for E4A(B)-95-000-000 rev. AC.1 and lower).
 A branch that is:
- bent by approx. 90°
- routed in parallel to the cylinder head
 The injector branch:
- routed bellow the injector cover
- to the injectors and CAS1 (for E4A(B)-95-000-000 rev. AD.1 and higher).
 A branch that is:
- routed to the intake manifold
- connected to the related sensors
 The thickest branch:
- at the gearbox side of the engine
- routed along the high pressure rail to the sensors and actuators on the high pressure pump
- further bent to the GPC, alternator and the sensors installed on the engine block
The installer is responsible for the routing of the aircraft interface side of the harness (GPC- and
EECU-Connector).
