B. Install the Alternator
Detail Steps/Work Items
Key Items/References
(1)
Install the alternator on the alternator bracket.
Refer to Fig. 24 - 5.
Torque 20 Nm
(2)
Install the alternator bracket on the engine
(3)
Connect the excitation line marked with
“GEN/G2”.
Make sure that the connector is locked.
(4)
Install the V-Ribbed belt.
Refer to Section 85-40-00 Paragraph
1.B.
(5)
Examine the V-Ribbed belt for correct
installation.
(6)
Connect the B+ terminal/cable.
(7)
Connect the main battery.
Refer to the applicable Aircraft
Maintenance Manual.
(8)
Do an engine ground run.
Refer to the Section 71-00-01.
The output voltage of the alternator
must be between 27V DC and 29V DC.
