73-10-00 Engine Fuel Supply
1. General
This section contains maintenance procedures for the part of the fuel system used to supply the
engine.
Always make sure that the high-pressure components are clean when you
disconnect them. Sand and dust can cause damage to injectors and HPP.
Always use protective caps to plug open connections.

A. Remove the Injectors

Remove the injector cover.
Refer to Section 85-10-00
Paragraph 3.A.

Disconnect the engine harness from each injector head.
Refer to Fig. 73 - 3.

Remove the circlip from the injector return line on each
injector.
Refer to Fig. 73 - 14.

Loosen the flare nuts of the high pressure fuel line at each
injector.
Refer to Fig. 73 - 3.
(5)
Loosen the 4 flare nuts, which connect the injector fuel
lines, at the fuel rail.
This will give more space
during removal of the
injector.
