C. Examine the Wastegate Controller adjustment

Remove the clamp on the air hose to the wastegate.
Refer to Fig. 81 - 20.
Discard the clamp!
(2)
Disconnect the hose from the wastegate controller.
Refer to Fig. 81 - 20.
To examine the adjustment of the wastegate controller, use a calibrated air
pressure device, which increases the pressure gradually.
(3)
Connect the hose of the air pressure device to the
port of the wastegate controller and attach a clamp.
(4)
Slowly pressurize the wastegate controller with
compressed air.
Use the air pressure device.
Do not exceed the maximum permitted air pressure of 2.5 bar (relative
pressure)!
The connection rod must move at 1.4 bar.
The wastegate must be fully open at 2.0 bar.
(5)
If the adjustment is not correct:
– Remove the wastegate controller
– Install the wastegate controller again
– Adjust the wastegate controller
