4. Timing Chain
A. Timing Chain Check
(a) Prepare for timing chain check

Engine configuration “-A”
(1)
Get access to the chain tensioner of the
engine.
Refer to the Aircraft Maintenance
Manual (AMM).
Engine configuration “-B or “-C”
(1)
Remove the cowling parts to get access to the
engine.
Refer to the Aircraft Maintenance
Manual (AMM).
Refer to Fig. 85 - 137.
(2)
Remove the aircraft and the engine parts as
follows:
Drain the coolant.
Remove the air tube connected to the
intake air manifold.
Remove the coolant expansion tank.
Loosen the intake air manifold.
Refer to the applicable Aircraft
Maintenance Manual.
