78 - Maintenance Procedures
78-10-00 Engine Exhaust
1. General
This section contains the maintenance procedures for the engine exhaust system.
2. Exhaust Manifold
A. Remove the Exhaust Manifold
Remove the exhaust pipe from the
turbocharger.
Refer to the applicable Aircraft
Maintenance Manual.
Remove the intake air hose from the
turbocharger.
Remove the oil return line from the
turbocharger.
Refer to Section 79-20-00 Paragraph
9.A.
Remove the oil supply line from the
turbocharger.
Refer to Section 79-20-00 Paragraph
8.A.
Remove the clip from the wastegate controller.
Refer to Fig. 78 - 1 and Fig. 78 - 2.
Identify the version of the pick-up hose
routing:
- with banjo connection (discontinued
version)
- with installed grub screw (latest
version).
- For discontinued version: remove
the banjo bolt.
- For latest version: do not remove
the grub screw.
Refer to Fig. 78 - 1 and Fig. 78 - 2.
Open the nuts from the exhaust manifold.
Remove the exhaust manifold with the
turbocharger from the engine.
Remove the four screws and the washers that
attach the exhaust manifold to the
turbocharger.
