C. Remove and disassemble the banjo bolt/adapter assembly

Key Items/References
For the Cylinder Head Version 2 (Refer to Section 85-30-00 Paragraph 4 for
description), do the steps (1) to (3).
(1)
Remove the turbocharger oil return line.
Refer to Paragraph A.
Cover the opening of the cylinder head with applicable means!
(2)
Remove the banjo bolt/adapter connection
assembly from the cylinder head.
(3)
Discard the two O-Rings, which are installed on
the connection fitting.
Refer to Fig. 79 - 26.
(4)
Remove the lock-wire between the banjo bolt
and the connection fitting.
(5)
Remove the banjo bolt from the connection
fitting.
Refer to Fig. 79 - 25.
(6)
Discard the two sealing rings.
(7)
Remove the banjo adapter from the banjo fitting.
Refer to Fig. 79 - 23.
(8)
Discard the sealing ring.
D. Install and assemble the banjo bolt/adapter assembly

For the Cylinder Head Version 2 (Refer to Section 85-30-00 Paragraph 4 for
description), install the connector of the oil return line according to
Paragraph (a) - Install the connector assembl.

Put the new sealing ring onto the banjo fitting.
Refer to Fig. 79 - 23.
Do not use Loctite on thread with grease!
Apply only a thin layer of Loctite!
(2)
Apply Loctite 243 on the thread of the banjo
adapter.
Refer to Fig. 79 - 23.
(3)
Tighten the banjo fitting on the banjo adapter.
Torque 40 Nm.
(4)
Make sure that the sealing ring is correctly
installed.
(5)
Put the banjo bolt through
- A new sealing ring
- The banjo fitting
Refer to Fig. 79 - 25.
Torque 35 Nm.
