2. Belt Tensioner
A. Remove the Belt Tensioner

(1)
Remove the V-Ribbed belt.
Refer to Paragraph 1.A.
(2)
Remove the three screws from the tensioner.
Refer to Fig. 85 - 135.
(3)
Remove the two hexagon socket screws from
the bottom of the tensioner bracket.
(4)
Remove the screw from middle of the
tensioner bracket.
(5)
Remove the belt tensioner.
(6)
Remove the Alternator.
Refer to Section 24-30-00 Paragraph
2.A. and Section 24-31-00 Paragraph
2.A.
B. Install the Belt Tensioner

(1)
Put the belt tensioner in position on the
crankcase.
(2)
Install the 3 screws on the tensioner.
Do not tighten the screws at this
time.
(3)
Install the Alternator.
Refer to Section 24-30-00 Paragraph
2.B. and Section 24-31-00 Paragraph
2.B.
(4)
Tighten the three screws on the V-belt
tensioner.
Torque 20 Nm.
Refer to Fig. 85 - 135.
(5)
Tighten the two hexagon socket screws and
washers at the bottom of the tensioner
bracket.
(6)
Tighten the screw at the middle of the
tensioner bracket.
(7)
Install the V-Ribbed belt.
Refer to Paragraph 1.B.
(8)
Do an engine ground run.
Refer to Section 71-00-01.
