2. Boost Pressure Sensor (BPS)
A. Remove the BPS

Key Items/References
(1)
Disconnect the electrical connectors BPS1 and
BPS2.
Refer to Fig. 85 - 90.
(2)
Remove the screws that attach the BPS on
the intake air manifold, also the ring terminal.
(3)
Remove the BPS and the spacer.
If new sensors (AEP-00286-901) are installed, do the following steps:

Disconnect the electrical connectors BPS1 and
BPS2.
Refer to Fig. 85 - 91.
(2)
Remove the Boost Pressure Sensor [04a] and
the sealing ring [04b].
B. Install the BPS

Install the hose connection with the sealing
ring into the spacer.
Torque 5 Nm.
Apply Loctite 542.
Refer to Fig. 85 - 90.
When using Loctite, make sure that the thread is free of grease.
Apply a thin film of Loctite.
(2)
Install the boost pressure sensors with the
spacer and the new O-Ring into the intake air
manifold.
(3)
Make sure that the O-Ring is in the correct
position.
(4)
Lubricate the O-Ring with engine oil.
Refer to the Consumable list.
(5)
Tighten the screws that on the BPS.
Torque 5 Nm.
Apply Loctite 243.
Refer to Fig. 85 - 90.
(6)
Connect the electrical connectors BPS1 or
BPS2.
(7)
Do an engine ground run.
Refer to Section 71-00-01.
