1. General
This chapter contains information about the power plant components.
2. Description
The engine power plant consists of the engine harness.
A. Electrical Harness
The engine electrical cables, plugs, sockets, and connectors connect the power plant system and are
bent together to make the power plant installation and removal easier.
The wiring harness must have attachment points to prevent harness damage during normal engine
operation (e.g.: vibration).
All connectors must be connected in a way that prevents forces applied to them.
Tension on harness is not permitted!
Plug and socket connections interlocking must be correct.
All connectors locking must be correct.
All shielding wires must be attached to the engine block at the actuator and sensor
ends of the wiring harness via electrically conducting connections.
It is not permitted to decrease or extend the shielding wires length, if not differently
stated.
It is not permitted to make changes on the delivered wiring harness AE repair kit.
Only the delivered configuration is tested (EMI, lightning protection) and approved.
Avoid unnecessary connection/disconnection of plastic connectors.
Too many connections/disconnections can cause damage to connectors.
