B. Install the Injector Cover
If the injector cover has no maintenance lid installed, refer to MSB-E4-008/2
or higher revisions.
Clean the hose connection on the cylinder
head cover.
Refer to Fig. 85 - 10.
Use a dry and clean rag only.
Do not use detergent to
prevent oil contamination.
Do the routing of the oil separator hose
below the high pressure lines.
Refer to Fig. 85 - 9 and Fig. 85 - 11.
Put the hose clamp over the oil separator
hose.
Refer to Fig. 85 - 9 and Fig. 85 - 12.
Disconnect the injector connector for an
easier oil separator hose installation, if
necessary.
Push the oil separator hose over the hose
connection and attach the hose clamps.
Refer to Fig. 85 - 9 and Fig. 85 - 14.
Use the spring band clamp pliers tool.
Do not forget to connect the injector connector. Refer to Fig. 85 - 14.
Make sure that the hose is installed without
tension.
If necessary, push the hose below the
high pressure lines in the direction of
the connector socket.
Put the injector cover in place above the
cylinder head.
Close the injector cover carefully to prevent
force on the oil separator hose.
Make sure that the wiring harness is
not chafing on the cover.
Tighten the injector cover.
For the injector cover installation without maintenance lid, continue with
Step (14).
Apply silicone on the overlapping area on the
injector cover.
Put the maintenance lid on the injector cover
opening and move it so that the holes at the
lid are coaxial with the threads at the injector
cover.
Secure the screws with lock-wire.
