Check
6. High Engine Oil Consumption Inspection
1. Examine the engine for oil leakage.
2. Examine the compression.
3. Analyse EECU data using the AE 300 Wizard to find the root cause.
If the root cause cannot be found, replace the engine.
7. Engine Oil System Contaminated
1. Analyse engine oil sample by suitable laboratory (e.g. Oelcheck GmbH).
2. Analyse EECU data using the AE 300 Wizard to detect root cause.
If the root cause cannot be found, replace the engine.
8. Engine Oil Pressure Loss Inspection
1. Check Oil quantity.
2. Inspect if “neg. g” flights have been conducted. (Visual inspection of the breather outlet
for oil contamination).
3. Analyse EECU data using the AE 300 Wizard to find the root cause.
If the root cause cannot be found, replace the engine.
9. Inability to Start the Engine
1. Check voltage.
2. Check battery condition.
3. Check fuel supply.
4. Check for EECU cautions.
5. Analyse EECU data using the AE 300 Wizard to find the root cause.
If the root cause cannot be found, replace the engine.
10. Engine over speed
1. If the propeller speed has exceeded 2500 rpm, overhaul or replace the engine.
2. Inspect the engine for signs of leakage and mechanical damage.
3. Check oil levels - refer to Section 12-10-00.
4. Drain the engine oil according to Section 79-20-00 Paragraph 5.A.
5. Replace the engine oil filter as stated in Section 79-20-00 Paragraph 3.
