C. Examine the Hub

Before you remove the hub, make sure there
is no clearance between the flange of the
secondary mass of the flywheel and the
flange of the hub.
No clearance is permitted between
the two flanges.
If you see a clearance, replace the
two-mass flywheel and the hub.
Refer to Fig. 85 - 45 for clearance
between flanges after an incorrect
installation.

Visually examine the hub for:
- Cracks
- Other mechanical damages (e.g.
dents, deformations)
If you find any damage, replace the
hub. Engrave the new hub on the
surface facing away from the flywheel
with the serial number of the
flywheel. Refer to Fig. 85 - 46.
Obey the scheduled maintenance
intervals. Refer to Section 05-20-00.
